Analyst
Role Overview
eShipGlobal is seeking a detail-oriented Analyst in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will act as a key bridge between business needs and technical execution. You will translate product requirements, business processes, and market practices into specific, clear software requirements, while working closely with team leads and client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define project scopes and deliver exceptional solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Translation: Convert product requirements, client business needs, market practices, and business processes into highly detailed business, functional, and software specifications.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with team leads and client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify solutions, document workflows, and define project scopes, estimates, and timelines.
- Client Engagement: Lead requirement sessions with clients focused on policy administration, technical processes, and non-functional needs. Present and recommend tailored solutions, product demonstrations, and formal presentations.
- Development & PM Support: Support project managers and the development team by owning detailed business documentation, driving sprint planning, managing backlog grooming, and identifying out-of-scope requirements or change requests.
- Analysis & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough business analysis, requirement studies, and GAP analyses. Write user stories and test cases, and actively conduct QA, UAT, and Regression Testing.
- Data & Business Intelligence: Fetch custom reports using SQL and build dynamic data dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau (or equivalent software).
Education & Experience Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupations within the Information Technology sector.
Required Specialized Skills
Candidates must possess at least 1 year of experience utilizing the following core skills:
- Data Analysis: Conducting data analysis to support strategic decision-making, identify market trends, and optimize operational processes.
- Team Leadership: Leading cross-functional teams to gather, map, and document complex business requirements for enterprise software implementations.
- Financial Modeling: Performing cost/benefit analyses to accurately assess investment opportunities, forecast ROI, create financial models for revenue forecasting, and improve budgeting efficiency.
- Advanced SQL: Utilizing SQL to query massive datasets, perform complex trend analysis, and generate actionable insights that drive business goals.
- Market Intelligence: Conducting target market research and deep competitive analysis to provide actionable insights that optimize market positioning.
- Reporting & Risk Management: Developing and presenting regular business performance reports to senior management, alongside executing project risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
- Process Documentation: Managing end-to-end business process documentation, designing highly detailed workflows, and proactively identifying process inefficiencies.
